Mothers: The Best Role Model

In our modern day we look to movie stars, fictional characters, and feminists as our role models. However, we don’t seem to realize that the best person for us to pattern our lives after (other than Jesus Christ) is right under our noses. She is your mother.

Our mothers, although not perfect, are living their lives to glorify God. Where movie stars are consumed with themselves, our mothers are giving of themselves, by serving their families. While fictional characters are being saved by knights in shining armor, our mothers are raising godly offspring for the next generation. When feminists are trying to display their worth, our mothers are proving it, by obeying God’s Word.

Young ladies, we must look to someone other than trendy images of the afore mentioned women. Our mothers have taken care of us from the moment of birth and taught us all we know of life. Why should it stop there? We still have the opportunity to learn all we can from the person who knows all of our difficulties and areas that we struggle in. Let’s not allow this moment to slip through our fingers.

  1. Jordan, your writing is beautiful. I especially liked the way you compared mothers to the various role models all girls look to. I can't wait to read more posts written by all of you!

  3. Great Post Jordan! You made a great point about the feminists trying to prove their worth, while mothers live their worth, that is the true essence of heroism.

I'm looking forward to future posts, love your blog background. :)
